Today’s one of those special opportunities when I get to work with a new brand that resonates with my passion and values in the fashion world. Les Deux was first formed in 2011 with an ambition to create a brand that inspires and influence people across all borders. The founders weren’t born into the world of fashion, but are highly motivated to create a unique approach in designing clothes and sharing a lifestyle with people worldwide. This is what they love and they don’t compromise their values or quality—which is something that I truly admire and respect.
Les Deux creates a unique style from a passion that merges the preppy influence of North Zealand (north of Copenhagen) with a simplistic street style of Nørrebro, Copenhagen (a district that’s rich in culture and popular with students and creative types). The street style is evident through their vast collection of wonderful hoodies and baseball caps. While the preppy influence is seen through sophisticated knitwear and tailored outerwear. It’s the mix and match of these styles that I delight in. The highs and lows of pairing smart trousers with a hoodie, layered under a clean overcoat. It’s this sophisticated simplicity that is intriguing to me. A style that I’ve been embracing for some time now.
I’ve incorporated a few key pieces from Les Deux in this fall inspired outfit. The real show stopper is the Etique Mac Coat in Stone Gray. Made from 100% cotton, it has excellent water repellent protection which makes it delightful for the autumn weather. The color is warm and inviting with a slim and tailored fit. I sized up for a more classic fit. I like the coat so much, I also ordered it in navy so that I could wear it more frequently. I’ll be styling a look around that color next week!
In keeping with a smarter look, I paired the coat with the Como Suit Pants in Anthrazit. If you ever thought wearing trousers was uncomfortable, then you haven’t worn these! They’re constructed from 3 materials: a lightweight but sturdy polyester, heat-conducting viscose and 5% elastane for a wonderful stretch and added comfort. The fit is slim, so I sized up in these as well (given my thighs are a bit athletically built). They’re finished with a small cuff at the leg opening which provides a clean crop when tailored with a no-break pant leg which is my preference.
For a simple and classic monochromatic approach, I paired the coat and trousers with the Christoph Oxford Shirt in white. The Christoph shirt is one of the more versatile oxfords in my wardrobe because the collar is refined enough to handle a tie yet casual enough to be worn as a stand alone piece. You simply can’t go wrong with it.
A huge thank you to Les Deux for sponsoring this post and providing me with the merchandise to wear and style. Stay tuned for another look next week featuring more of my favorites from their current collection.
