When it comes to style, I much prefer a simple, classic approach to clothing. Occasionally I’ll jump on board for a trend—but 9 times out of 10 the best things you can buy are timeless and quality pieces that won’t go out of style. Trust me, it’s worth the investment! In continuing my partnership with Opumo, I styled my current go-to classic combo for the season.
In my previous post with Opumo, I brought a bit more olive into my wardrobe with this jacket from Sunspel. It’s a color that I find myself wearing quite often. It’s a nice change of pace from my normal gray and blue. However, one of my most used articles of clothing is a striped shirt like this navy/ecru striped t-shirt from Sunspel. Stripes are a staple for me. I stock them in large supply in my closet. It’s the perfect foundation for laid-back outfit yet is easily refined with a pair of trousers or khakis.
For this outfit, I opted for a slightly more refined look—pairing this essential tee with the khaki Noho pants from NN07. They are made from an Italian cotton/linen blend with a crease and turned up hem. The color is slightly faded due to the garment dyed process. They have a fairly slim fit which is my preference for a dressier trouser.
To compliment the look I paired it with CQP sneakers and a killer backpack from Mismo. This navy M/S Express is a wonderful option for a style conscious city boy (or girl). It’s made from waterproof hard woven Italian nylon which is ideal for those rainy commutes. It has a zippered top which is folded down and kept in place by a leather strap and brass buckle. I’ve owned the black version for over a year now, and it’s an outstanding piece—I’ve received numerous compliments on it.
