Ramping up my stripes with Nautica.

February 22, 2018

Nothing beats a classic Breton striped shirt or sweater. It’s a brilliant way to add a bold pattern to a minimalistic wardrobe. Actually, it’s one of the only patterns that I find myself wearing these days. As I continue my partnership with Nautica, I continue to discover just how wonderfully versatile their collection is.

Nautica does a fantastic job in creating contemporary pieces with classic roots. When I’m looking to add items to my wardrobe, I want to make sure they have a long shelf life—designed to last in quality and style. This Breton striped sweater is made from cashmere with a modern but relaxed fit (similar available here and here). It’s not a sweater that will go out of style anytime soon. I layered it with a clean white oxford to add a bit more warmth for the current weather (similar here and here).

With the classic jumper, I added a bit of a contemporary twist pairing with light washed denim. It has a nice complementary shade of light blue that works well when combining it with dark navy tones. They’re slim but not skinny, with a bit of stretch—which I mentioned before, I love. The subtle stretch really helps add a bit of movement, especially for guys with an athletic/muscular build like myself.

And just when you thought it wasn’t possible to wear more blue, I topped it off with Nautica’s classic bomber jacket. Lightweight and water resistant—perfect for the transition into the warmer weather. It wears well and folds up nicely to pack in a travel bag. Also styled is Nautica’s wonderful Voyage cologne and the sophisticated Syd watch.

As always, I am proud to be a brand ambassador for Nautica—thanks for sponsoring this post and providing me with the products.
