The more brands I’m exposed to everyday, the more I realize the importance of simplification—refining your wardrobe with items that you actually use and enjoy. It’s not a simple task, especially for a fashion blogger whose job it is to introduce new styles and stay on trend. I often get caught up in the excitement of buy, buy, buy—but after the wave passes, it’s the important quality pieces that remain in my wardrobe. Items with clean and simple design, constructed from high-quality materials. Farnol is a new brand that embraces this concept to a T.

Farnol offers an extremely thoughtful collection full of high-quality essentials for the every day—it’s a destination for seasonless 365 clothing. They aren’t big on trends. All the materials are handpicked by the team to create timeless pieces and form the backbone of a modern wardrobe. The whole concept is backed by affordable pricing which is a breath of fresh air compared to some of the other brands on the scene.

For today’s flatlay, I chose a few classic pieces from the site and styled them alongside several items from my own wardrobe. It was a seamless fit into my normal style.

To combat against the crisp spring mornings, I selected the Everyday Twill Trench Coat in Stone. It’s a classic silhouette with a modern fit—100% cotton twill with a teflon coating. I typically wear a size large but the product shot seemed like it fit on the slim side so I went with an XL. I’m happy I sized up because it allows a bit of layering in the colder months (I’m 6’ 185lbs with an athletic/muscular build).

Layered under the trench is the Everyday Cashmere Crew Neck Sweater—100% cashmere providing an incredible softness. It’s warm enough for fall and winter but light enough for the spring months. I also sized this in XL. The fit is pretty true to size for this piece so I’m looking forward to wearing it in a more relaxed, oversized vibe. It’s really hard to beat a cashmere sweater at this price point.

I kept lighter tones throughout the rest of the outfit to ease the transition into the slighty warmer spring months. Light wash denim and white sneakers always seem to do the trick.

Although not pictured, I also received an Everyday Overhead Hooded sweatshirt in black. I’m excited about introducing more black garments into my wardrobe. I’ve been on a bit of a hoodie kick lately. I love super casual pieces like this, but pairing it with creased trousers for that smart casual look. It’s office friendly for me and incredibly comfortable. Keep your eyes peeled for some inclusions with the hoodie in the near future.

Overall, I’m pretty excited about what this brand has to offer. Basics are best, and basics at an accessible price point are even better!
