Today’s post is part of my on-going partnership with Nautica.
Blue has been my favorite color and a staple in my wardrobe for as long as I can remember. There’s something so peaceful yet brilliantly dynamic that lives deep within its tones. It’s the color of both the sea and the sky which brings tranquility into the vast open space. Some people avoid wearing blue because it’s simple and safe. I gravitate towards shades of blue just for that very reason—it’s versatile and easy to wear. It has positive effects on the mind and body. It makes me feel more confident and creative. If I had to choose one color to live the rest of my life wearing, it would be blue. Today, I’m styling a fool proof look with some of my favorite Nautica pieces that will create confidence in your spring wardrobe.
So far this spring has been pretty chilly. I’m still waiting for it to stay consistently warm. In the mornings, I’ve either been wearing a light jacket or an extra layer like this long sleeve crewneck pullover. It’s a classic piece crafted from cotton that’s a perfect solution for the crisp temperature. Underneath the sweater, I’ve layered another classic piece—the long sleeve white linen shirt. Its one of my must haves for the warmer weather.
I often like to pair similar shades of navy top and bottom for a super minimalistic vibe—but an easy way to wear blue is to vary the shades. Since the sweater is a dark and rich shade of navy, I opted for a light wash pair of denim for the pants. The white shirt visually breaks up the flow of blue which creates a bit more interest and depth.
This look would work well with several different types of shoes, but you won’t often find me wearing anything but white court style sneakers. I like them for the same reason I like blue—clean, minimal, and goes with just about everything.
Also from Nautica, I’m pairing the Syd watch and Voyage Heritage Cologne. If you like the original Voyage fragrance then you’ll love the remix.
As always, I am proud to be a brand ambassador for Nautica—thanks for sponsoring this post and providing me with the products.
